Grid Based Corral Designs

Sample Corral #4

This simple grid based corral utilizes several basic corral features.  The cattle are brought from the pasture to a gathering pen with feed and water.  From here, the cattle return up the sorting alley and can be sorted into one of two sorting pens.  The sorting pens come with two sorting gates, each which makes sorting both safe and efficient.  From the sorting pens, the cattle continue toward the pasture where they are directed into the cattle handling system.  After handling, the cattle can be released back into the gathering pen.

Sample Corral #2

This grid based corral includes options for both pre-sorting and post-sorting of cattle.  From the pasture, livestock are brought into the sorting/working alley where they can be sorted into one of three pre-sorting pens.  Following sorting, cattle can be brought down the working alley and into the handling system.  Following handling, you have the option of sorting into three post-sort pens.  If required, livestock can be returned to the sorting alley to be re-worked.

Sample Corral #5

This large grid based corral set-up combines aspects of Sample Corral #2 and Sample Corral #4.  Livestock are brought into the gathering pen for food and water.  When they leave the gathering pen to return to the pasture, the cattle can be sorted into one of three pens.  The cattle exit at the rear of the pens into the handling system.  After handling, the cattle can be sorted into one of three post-sorting pens.  Just after the squeeze there is an optional gate which will allow the handler to return an animal back into the handling system if required.
