Handling System Designs

Sample #1

This is our most popular handling system.  It features a full three section tub with funnel section complete with a load out gate.  The curve of the funnel tub continues into a twenty one foot adjustable S-Alley with elevated walks.  A rolling door controls animal flow into the alley.  The system finished with an adjustable palpation cage and parallel axis squeeze chute.  Some ranchers like to have a rolling door between the alley and the palpation cage as well.

Sample #3

This system is a variation on Sample #1.  In this system, the funnel crowding tub is replaced with a full three section crowding tub with a sheeted 9′-3” panel.  The first alley section is selected to provide livestock a clear look into the alley from the tub.  As with Sample 1, this system is finished with an adjustable palpation cage and parallel axis squeeze chute.

Sample #4

This system is a variation on Sample #1.  In this system, the funnel crowding tub is replaced with a full three section crowding tub with a sheeted 7′ panel.  The choice of tub will affect the direction of the adjustable alley from the lead-up alley.  These three tub designs represent the standard configurations.  There are however a wide range of additional configurations available.  If you require a custom design please call and we can help you lay out a system that meets your individual needs.

Sample #12

This system is a variation on Sample #1.  A full height adjustable loading chute is included off the crowding tub.  At the end of this S-Alley we have included a sorting alley section made with two item 1380.  This allows the operator to divert calves into a narrow calf alley with lift-up gate, leading to a calf tipping table.  A sorting panel on the opposite side provides goods vet access to the parallel axis squeeze chute.

Sample #6

The only difference between this system and Sample #1 is that the S-Alley has been replaced with a fully adjustable U-Alley.  Each additional section of U-Alley will change the location and angle of the squeeze chute.  This U-Alley uses three 60 degree alley sections.  Hi-Hog also offers a 45 degree alley section.  Some ranchers like to have a rolling door between the alley and the palpation cage as well.

Sample #14

The only difference between this system and Sample #6 is the addition of a sorting section in the alley.  Simple un-pin the panels leading to the loading chute and the entire working alley becomes fully adjustable.  The sorting section is made by hanging sheeted panels (item #1380 and #250) from the adjustable alley spreaders.  This sorting section can be inserted anywhere in and Hi-Hog alley.

Sample #18

Like the previous sample a three section U-Alley has been modified to add a sorting option.  Here the sorting section has been moved to the end of the U-Alley and an additional straight alley section has been added to the beginning of the working alley.  The working alley is preceded by a full three section crowding tub with a sheeted 9′-3” panel.  The alley starts and ends with a spreader complete with a rolling door.

Sample #20

This compact design was originally prepared for a customer who needed a system to fit within a barn.  A two section crowding tub with a 7′ straight funnel leads into the working alley.  The fully adjustable working alley combines a 7′ straight alley and a 90 degree U-Alley.  Hi-Hog livestock equipment is designed for flexibility.  Hi-Hog can combine system components to create custom systems using standard stock items.
