U-Frames
The livestock bow gate without the frame
The U-frame is an excellent alternative to the traditional bow gate or Frame & Gate. With no overhead frame you’re no longer restricted by height. That’s one less thing to hit with your tractor (or your head). If you need to move something that is wider than the gate opening and you can lift it higher than the U-frame then you’re free to carry on.
You can also save money by not investing in a lot of extra steel above your head. If you were looking at 10 or 12 foot high frames than the U-frame offers you a more economical option. Additionally, because there are no overhead frames, you will now have a clean and unobstructed view of your corrals.
The heavy duty U-frame is built for strength and durability. The strength of the U-frame is secured in the 4.5” OD, 0.337 wall tubing foundation. You can be certain that the ground tube will not deflect when the biggest guy you know decides to hang on the end of your 14’ gate. The strength found in the foundation continues up into an unyielding 16” steel trussed hinge post. (Click on the green circle in the top right corner to read more)

The bow gate alternative
The hinge post comes with sleeves designed to fit any of our standard corral or heavy duty gates with adjustable hinges so you can be assured you will always be able to adjust the level of your gate. Because the gate is a separate option it can be easily removed and/or replaced. Add a medium duty plunger latch and you can be confident your gate will latch securely on the reinforced 2-3/8” OD latch post. (The included striker plate is set at a height for use with Hi-Hog’s heavy duty gates. If you wish to use a corral gate with a plunger latch you will need to purchase and mount an additional weld-on striker plate; item 1648)
The U-frame extension kit mounts seamlessly on the 5’ high U-frame to facilitate 6’ high gates. The U-frame is designed to connect with any Hi-Hog panel and is an outstanding option for livestock corrals, rodeo facilities, and round pens. No need to worry about putting posts in the ground or having frames overhead.
